I have been trying to manage my adrenal fatigue for 3 and a 1/2 years with various herbals and vitamins. Whenever I've tried to take vit b it had an undesired effect. It tends to make me wake up in the middle of the night really wide awake and ready to go and unable to get back to sleep for some time. Is there some way I can take vit B that won't have this effect?

Bluezebra, Are you sure it is NOT a blood sugar handling problem? The fact that you wakeup and can't fall back asleep is a classic adrenal problem with blood sugar issues. Take a look at your dinner and last meal of the evening...is there enough good protein and fat to keep your blood sugar stable? Remember B vitamins are critical in helping your adrenal glands and supporting blood sugar. I am not sure what else to say, with the little bit of history you gave. Dr. Len Lopez

Regarding Vit b, a nutritionist the other day recommended that i have B12 injection..knowing that i have adrenal fatigue, he said that it would be beneficial to me..would you agree with that general advice ?

The B-12 injection will only help or act as a crutch...it won't help support and strengthen your adrenal glands so they can take care of the problem themselves. The shot won't hurt...it could help you feel better....but it is the shot that is doing the work....my goal is to get your body strong enough so it can do the job it is supposed to. Hope that helps, Dr. Len
