Dr. Len,
My husband has recently been told he has mild heart diseaseand has been put on 10 mg of Crestor and a baby asprin a day. From reading health articles I know it is important that he take Co Q 10 along with the Crestor. My question is what dose would be best to take. I know the Crestor and baby asprin make his blood thinner so I don't want to over to the Co Q 10. Thank you very much.

VGA,

I would further my education about the negative effects of statin drugs like Crestor. High cholesterol is a good indicator that our heart is in jeopardy....BUT loweing cholesterol artificially with drugs as opposed to addressing what is causing the cholesterol to go up ....is just backwards....and working against what the body is trying to do.

the root cause of heart disease is "Inflammation" and the reason the body is making more cholesterol is the body's natural response to help the body produce more plaque, which the body uses to patch up all the cracks that are developing in our arterial system.

I am a fan of CoQ 10 and would recommend it but I would first make sure you are taking a good dosage of fish oil...the omega 3 fatty acids, which are found in our Sea Energy.

I hope that helps,

Dr. Len
