Hello Dr!

I'm so glad I have someone who might be able to help me. i've had adrenal fatigue for the past year and am finally starting to have some energy. but since november i've had horrible insomnia and night sweats. i've discovered it was the adrenal cortex supplements that was causing this. since i've been off of them, i've slept like a baby and no night sweats but all of the sudden my hair is coming out. why? especially when i'm finally starting to get better, i'm working out, i have energy, many of my symptoms are gone. i gaining weight again as well?? on top of what i've all ready gained from having adrenal fatigue. do you have any suggestions? my thyroid has been tested and my naturopath says it's normal. my moring and evening corisol levels were 1.4 but i know they are much higher now just by the way i feel.

thank you in advance for your help!!

Olga,

Here are a couple of thougts. Yes I would also think of thyroid that is contributing to the hair loss, but I would first check out the adrenals to see if they are pulling the thyroid down.

I might question your naturopath, because I don't understand what 1.7 for morning and evening cortisol is supposed to mean. Cortisol should be about about 3-5 times higher in the morning than in the evening and or at night....so telling me they are about the same....I question how you measured them. was it blood test or saliva? how many samples did you take to measure cortisol? did they also measure your dhea levels? Than I would ask what tests and measurements was he using to say your thyroid is fine....is he looking at total thyroid hormones or is he looking at "Free Fractions" of your T-3 and T-4?

find that out for me and will see what advise we can suggest, but right now the information you are giving me seems kind of kooky...

Best of health,

Dr. Len

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I have an appointment on saturday and will question her. I checked my thyroid test and only the TSH was looked at. My cortisol levels were measured by a saliva test, one in the morning and one in the evening. Nothing else has been tested. I can't tell you how frustrated I am with all of this. Anyway, I will get back to you after I have spoken to my doctor.

Thanks again so much for your help. Have a great wkend!

Hi Doctor,

I forgot to ask you something. I live in Canada and I don't know that they test for everything like they do in the States. If I do not get the help I need here, is it possible for me to do all testing and help through you? I tried to order your book and was not able to so I'm not sure if you have to be a U.S. citizen to receive help from yourself as well.

Thanks again,
Olga

Olga,

I am sure we can find a way to help you, as far as ordering my book you might need to call it in because our shopping cart doesn't take into consideration foreign addresses...but I know we have sent several books to Canada.

As far as testing, send an e-mail to my office info@drlenlopez.com and they should be able to direct you.

Blessings,

Dr. Len

Hi Dr.

I have all my test results. My Dr. gave me some new supplements to take, they are called TG 100 -Broad Based Glandular. Since taking them some of my symptoms have subsided again which is great but my hair and some follicles are still falling out. She also suggested liquid melatonin mixed in with my conditioner and sillica. I don't think either of these are really helping. Any suggestions?

ps my cortisol levels have to be up because i feel more energy than when i did that test but as i said, still have symptoms.

thank you and have a great wkend!

Olga,

Tests only tell me where your current health status is...it doesn't help me figure out what you have been doing or are continuing to do that got you there....this is why it is impossible to give someone specific information as you are seeking without a lot more specific information.....I know nothing about all the other symptoms/signals your body gives us that lets us know how well your digestive and elimination systems are working? I don't know if your blood sugar (diet) is part of the problem? Are you eating the right foods? Possible food allergens? Is Stress part of the problem? Are you getting enough sleep? Exercise? the type of exercise? liver, hormones, etc.....

To get specific....we need to set up a consultation and I can give you some specific help.
